5Cs Grapple With Recent Spike in Alcohol-Related Transports

Published on Feb. 3, 2017, for The Student Life: During one semester, alcohol-related emergency room transports from the Claremont Colleges increased so dramatically that local paramedics and firefighters met with college deans to discuss the issue. Time spent dealing with intoxicated students prevented paramedics from dealing with unpreventable emergencies as quickly.
