Claremonter honored with Carnegie Medal for heroism

Published May 30, 2017 for The Claremont Courier: I had the opportunity to tell the surreal tale of Nathan Reynolds’ live-saving rescue of a great-grandmother and her great-grandchild from a sinking car in the middle of a frigid pond. Reynolds dove into the water without regard for his own safety, and rescued both people moments before the car was fully submerged. If that doesn’t sound too crazy to be true, consider this: He was honored with a Carnegie Medal at Pomona College’s Carnegie Hall by the great-granddaughter of Andrew Carnegie. Worth a read:
